your answer is right, but logic is flawed.
Google does see link to http://mypornsite.com and http://www.mypornsite.com as different, since linking with or without www is also in control of other webmasters .. but it still affects the PageRank, TrustRank passed and ranking, and of course in turn traffic.Comment

just like "http://www.mypornsite.com" is diff then "http://mypornsite.com"

Actually Vick!... the www is the subdomain of a domain and yea it does get picked up a bit differently however the example above was as follows:
"does google see the link back http://www.mypornsite.com as a differnent site if linked to via http://www.MyPornSite.com or for that matter HTTP://WWW.MYPORNSITE.COM?"
The above question had only one domain and that was:
http://www.mypornsite.com
not
http://mypornsite.com
