your answer is right, but logic is flawed.

Google does see link to http://mypornsite.com and http://www.mypornsite.com as different, since linking with or without www is also in control of other webmasters .. but it still affects the PageRank, TrustRank passed and ranking, and of course in turn traffic.

no, im saying as far as google PR and ranking is concerned. not click through traffic.
just like "http://www.mypornsite.com" is diff then "http://mypornsite.com"

i recall reading something about this somewhere thats why i brought it up

Actually Vick!... the www is the subdomain of a domain and yea it does get picked up a bit differently however the example above was as follows:

"does google see the link back http://www.mypornsite.com as a differnent site if linked to via http://www.MyPornSite.com or for that matter HTTP://WWW.MYPORNSITE.COM?"

The above question had only one domain and that was:

                  http://www.mypornsite.com

                  not

                  http://mypornsite.com

                  .

Caps make zero difference. Focus on natural anchor text and the content that references the link.

I posted this in your other thread, but maybe it's interesting for others, too:
                            1. A "name" (Net, Host, Gateway, or Domain name) is a text string up
to 24 characters drawn from the alphabet (A-Z), digits (0-9), minus
sign (-), and period (.). Note that periods are only allowed when
they serve to delimit components of "domain style names". (See
RFC-921, "Domain Name System Implementation Schedule", for
background). No blank or space characters are permitted as part of a
name. No distinction is made between upper and lower case. The first
character must be an alpha character. The last character must not be
a minus sign or period. A host which serves as a GATEWAY should have
"-GATEWAY" or "-GW" as part of its name. Hosts which do not serve as
Internet gateways should not use "-GATEWAY" and "-GW" as part of
their names. A host which is a TAC should have "-TAC" as the last
part of its host name, if it is a DoD host. Single character names
                            or nicknames are not allowed.
That's from RFC952, which specifies how a host table is set up.
