you're searching for backlinks to www.sweetlatin.com in the first, in the second you're giving a blank parameter to the link command, and searching for the text "www.sweetlatin.com".

You are basically... well, see for yourself:

example

When you do link:www.link.com you are basically clicking on the:
Find web pages that link to www.rhinosgirls.com

When you do link: www.link.com you are doing:
Find web pages that contain the term "www.rhinosgirls.com"

This site is like 5 or 6 days old so it isn't the best example but I think it illustrates my point well enough.

yep, I'd agree with V_Rocks.... space between link: and actual link, tells google to search for text given as link....but link:link w/o space, tells it to use its special linking back feature, and displays you an information about your inbound links which are already indexed in google's database.
