how do i stop my computer from beeping

Just got a new computer and it keeps beeping from inside the box when theres an error. Is there a way to disable these beeps via control panel or bios so I don't have to open the box and unplug the speaker?

I don't think unplugging the speaker would help. Most mobo's come with a small built-in speaker.

You have to water it. It beeps because it needs to be watered, kind of link a flower.

Just kidding, I think a beeping can mean many things. Check your fans and make sure they are still working fine? my computer peeps when the CPU gets too hot? or did once

Have you disabled all sounds in windows? That's the first thing I do after a fresh install.

I know this may be a strange concept but...

Why not find out what the actual error is and fix it?

Im pretty sure if you fix it, the beeping will stop too, as if by magic

                    Regards,

                          Try:

control panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Sounds(tab) and select "No Sounds"

This will stop most sounds but not all.

I would do the very same thing that I do when some putz is telling me a lot of bullshit I am not interested in:
I turn off my hearing aid.
                                and all is well.

unplug the little speaker inside, nothing else helps
I got three new PCs in the past few months, disabled all the Windows sounds yet every time that beeps comes back

take out the speaker in your box - no more beeping and/or turn it off
