I almost got my car stolen after I parked it not in the best neighborhoods for like 10 minutes, when I got back I saw that some one tried to fuck with the right door lock..

doubt insurance will do shit if they weren't included in the insurance. How the fuck do they steal a full setup of subs that quickly? Not a big box or what? I would like to see 1 person lift my box and subs with the amp on the box.

Well the amp was underneath the seat, but not bolted down. The box is actually pretty big and heavy... two JL Audio 12w3's in a poweredge(?) enclosure. The alarm woke up my girlfriend and she saw the guy run from my car to his and take off. He was gone by the time she woke me up though. I would have loved to catch this guy in the act.

And before he broke the window, he used a screwdriver or something on the window casing, which obviously did nothing except cause more damage.

Auto Insurance covers your auto but not added stuff usually and stereo equip even less. Home owners would be what you'd want to get it added under probably.

I had $2k of shit stolen out of my Jeep when I lived in Victoria. Had only been there four days. Wasn't bolted down, so insurance wouldn't cover it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I was at my girlfriends house and was parked where I always do. Could have been some punk that has just seen my jeep there before though. And I always turn the stereo down low in residential zones and parking lots so less of a chance of this. Maybe one day they'll slip up and I'll find out who it is. Not likely though.

If you rent your place, get renters insurance. THey cover all of that and its cheap. I am sure there is some equivalent for homeowners insurance too, just more expensive.

Not true, Homeowners insurance covers more than most people would guess. Might want to check your policy if you own a home.

My home owners ins. Cover 200 CDs stolen out of my car and My Ping golf clubs. (They only gave me $13 per cd, and $1300 for the clubs but better than nothing right?)
