Reuters - In what has been hailed as a bold and historic move, President Bush has announced that by 'placing the flag of democracy' in the Middle Eastern Republic of Iraq, he has 'claimed it as a US State' and expects the public to accept it.
Much like the Russians who tried to claim the North Pole earlier this week, Bush had a flag planted on Iraq soil.
The full speech, given to congress under lock at key, included a plan to westernize the failing new state and bring it into the Glory of Democracy by renaming it to a more americanized name, 'Eyerack'. Submitted names such as 'Oilandia' and 'New India' were rejected by a committee.
