Anyone here use SKYPE? I was thinking to start pushing this more as a primary form of contact between NA and affiliates and was curious if anyone had any reasons for it or against it.

Used it for awhile but the lag was so bad I quit using it. I have a two way satellite connection for Internet access. That is what caused the lag. Not Skype.Comment

I use Skype daily. I work from home and don't have a home phone; My partner and I talk on the phone two or three times a day at least so why burn up cell phone minutes.

Not a bad stuff, if you chat with it it stores the history locally as a html which ain't that bad.
Calling is clean which I can't say of many phone networks that cost you a fortune, for example the only classic way I can get a clean phone call with our Florida partner for the DVD market is if I call from my Vodafone cell, which costs a fortune - the bigger company the bigger ripp off.

I only started using Skype and MSN Live call services when I got to Europe, and I must say, I really like em. I wouldn't object to using it for chatting with friends, but IM still seems to do the job for that. They are awesome for making calls overseas. $.02 per minute is awesome.Comment
