    what was the name of that video editing program...

    ok, I need to 'slice' a small portion of a DivX file (with the audio) - I remember there was a very good program (freeware) that I used to use but that was more than a year ago and don't have a clue what the program's name was

    basically you specify the beg. and the end frame and the program does the rest for you

    anyway what can I use to do that?

    I use VideoCharge, but it's not free. Doesn't get any easier.

      do you know if the trial is fully functional? this is a once off thing, I don't want to spend money

        It's fully functional, but puts a big nasty watermark on the video...so that won't help you.
