Top 10 in yahoo for 3 weeks, then drop out completly. How?

    Top 10 in yahoo for 3 weeks, then drop out completly. How?

    So my personal site was in the top 10 in yahoo for a good term for 3 weeks, and then all of a sudden today, i can't even find it in the first 10 pages!

    What do you think happened?

    Anyway to get it back there, or is it gone for good? Any insight on this?

      By the way, the only change I made to the site was adding a little java script code to it which adds a link to another site.

                  i had a mainstream site do that, off and on, for about a month then it finally just rested at a good spot, for months now. so it might be reading your changes..watch it for a month..check it a few times a day actually..you might see it go up and down.

                                              remove that java script, get a couple of more inbound links and you'll' be on even better position than you've been...

                                              i might have happen that you linked some banned or non-working site... check this out, too... this happened to me three days ago...

                                                  What happened to me on one of my sites was quite the feast. Initially, MSN and Y! listed it fantastically - for about 4 months. Then Google woke up, dragged it out of the sandbox and while the G traffic picked up tremendously, Y! and MSN aren't sending shit anymore. Go figure. Like they gave each other a high 5 and passed on the relay stick.

                                                      backlinks are in the hundreds right now, more and more every week, but MSN and Y! just don't like the site anymore.

                                                                      On one happy little site I had 6 months of crazy yahoo listings #1-5 on tons of 1, 2, 3 word phrases and then over night POOF. no changes or anything to the site either, just gone.

                                                                          First off - give it a few weeks - dont change anything more to try to fix it - the only thing that would help is to add more "content" - or text that really applies to the site.
