That would be..... me.
I got into it trying to make some extra money. So far, nada. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nothing. No extra money. Not one sale.
It happened because Tala is my roommate. She is always talking about GFY and the adult industry. I thought I would give it a try. So far, not working out. Trying, but you aparently have to have a ton of cash to put INTO it to get anything out. I don't have that money. So, best I can do is hope and keep working on one of the sites I still have.
Oh well.Comment

I don't know who told you that you need a ton of money to make money in this but they're wrong. You need SOME money for hosting/domains but that's it. Running paysites....well....that's an entirely different storyOriginally posted by sub.ericThat would be..... me.

Was in the non-nude business, dropped out because my models were bitches, became a surfer. Looking for Arika Ames pics one night, found GFY. Read about this new invention (lol) called a "blog"...thought hey, no dealing with models...I can do that.Originally posted by StudioCash LukeWow, seems like a few here got into adult through GFY?? That was a few months ago...now back in the actual adult business, getting ready (with a partner) to launch a pay site the beginning of the year. Yeah, more dealing with models...I'm stupid.Comment

Traffic Gigolos hired me in April. Though I have a history in online marketing, they're the first real company to employ me. Worked my way up from just doing grunt work, to now managing all aspects of the program and sites.
They've treated me very well. I have big plans to help take this company to the next level in the upcoming year. Keep your eyes on Traffic Gigolos.

I found a link to GFY on a surfer board when the whole thing with Lara Roxx and Darren James broke out (hence my registration date).
Then saw some threads by Dugmor and was quite surprised. Apparently I wasn't the only one with a twisted mind, there's a whole board of people like me.
They were bashing GFY on that surfer board saying that it's full of immature morons etc etc... well here I am year and a half later, still surfin high!
I did run one of the bigger adult surfer forums back in 2001 but was stupid enough to stop it when faced with a minor b/w difficulty.

I met a guy named David Ramos about 7 years ago while I was stationed in Georgia. About 3 years passed and David and I decided to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. When we walked into the 737 club (playboy), we saw a guy with some crazy beads around his neck and when we asked him where he got them he said "I work in the adult industry and my company is shooting". His name was Eric Matis and he lived in my hometown of Sacramento. Realizing that I would get out of the military soon and would probably head back to Cali, we exchanged numbers and when I got back to Cali, I called him up. Eric and I continued to be friends while David was going to college in Georgia. When he graduated, he came out here to live with his best friends and work in the porn biz....are you fucking kidding me...let me say that again....come to California to hang out with your best friends and work in the porn industry. David introduced me to the industry and I have been doing it for a living since April.

I finished up college in '03 and worked for a couple professional sports teams. My job ended with one season and I needed to pay my student loans, car insurance, etc. but finding a job in professional sports was proving to be mighty hard. I saw an opportunity in adult and took it. I figured I knew as much about porn as I did about sports. I'm doing the same thing in adult as I would in sports- PR and marketing, so I'm enjoying myself.Steve J.
