You are right. I have been viewing in 1024X768 (it looks just fine like that). I thought it may be a little wide at lower resolution but I did not realize it was way too wide. Oh Well I guess thats another thing to put on the top of my to do list.

I limit my page to 800 because I know not everyone has a 24" widescreen monitor ;-).

I guess I'm lucky that only 6% of my visitors are 800 X 600 and below. 70 something % are 1024 X 768. I think only people that have no choice use 800.

looks more like a set of squares and rectangles than a design. you just organized tables and text, you didnt really design anything as theres no artistic approach including graphics or anything.

I have been getting a lot more bookmarkers and a lot more sales with the new layout. Even though the old design was more interesting I think based on the numbers I would have to call it somewhat of a success.
I hated the old design and I had a lot of people tell me they also hated it.
One guy emailed me to tell me it was the worst website he had ever seen. Even the guy from fuckingmotherfucker.com said it sucked, (I personally think his site sucks).
I needed to cut down on the graphics as I had complaints that the page loaded very slow, so I decided to keep it as simple as possible.
I will work in some graphics when I am done updating all the pages.

thats false, i have a few friend with big screen that are still in 800 x 600, the kind of newb that will get the credit card out.
