In need of some advice on my first website

Oh wow, where do I start?
Here's just a summary:
The text sucks, I'm having problems reading it and a typical surfer has the attention span of a fly. Nothing caught my eye nor will it catch any potential customer.
Your video preview doesn't work, I tried it with Windows media and Canopus Procoder (a $400 pro video encoder software) and I'm getting errors.
The design is so mid/late 90's and ugly. Go visit thehun.net and check out the top 15 galleries, visit the sites being promoted and you will see what is in right now.
You got too many traffic leaks.

I can go on further but time is money, good luck.

While Vox is right about the fonts, he's mistaken about the video preview.. with DivX installed I have no problem viewing the trailer in Windows Media, Winamp, and VLC Media Player.

FONTS--
The color makes your text rather illegible, and the fonts themselves are terrible.. you have a variety of colors, sizes, and font faces.. there's no unification.

DESIGN--
I'm not sure if you designed this yourself or had it done for you, but the graphics seem straight out of the late 90's.. the use of exaggerated bevels has long since passed, and in using them your site dates itself.

SEO--
You say you've spent the last year working with SEO, however I noticed right away you're missing several key components:
- Relevant ALT tags for your images: your "Latina Lesbian Lust" logo (the interstate sign) has an alternate text of "tourimage"
- Relevant TITLE tags for your images and links: you don't even use this attribute at all
- Your META tags have HTML code in them.. "<br>" is not a keyword or part of a description.. take instances of it out.
- Your site lacks keyword-rich content: text is minimal, and when it does occur it is brief, lacks focus, and is often improper English (ie. "Now here's some pussy most tasty!")
- Images in the tour load in the same browser window, taking focus off the tour. Set the Target property to _NEW or _BLANK.
- The buttons on your Join page have white backgrounds.. it doesn't match the green content box at all.
- Your filenames show limited relevance.. images are named as logo.jpg or tour-part-3-1.jpg.. they should contain keywords for maximum content exposure (ie. latin-lesbian-lust-logo.jpg or naked-latins.jpg)

I can't think of much else at the moment, hopefully this helps.

If you scroll down on my index page you'll find a great deal of relavent text. That's the page I've primarily been trying to get ranked.
I use Dreamweaver and can't seem to find a TITLE attribute anywhere.
I'm learning all this from scratch so thanks again for your comments.

Ahh very good, I didn't even see that down there TITLE is new, I'll install DreamWeaver and see if it's in there.. I use Notepad for site coding so I'm not sure

Found it.

When you insert a link (Insert > Hyperlink) there's a Title option on the dialog window that pops up.

After you insert an image (Insert > Image), right click the image and choose Edit>Tag <img>. The TITLE property is under the "Stylesheet/Accessibility" options.

this is in DreamWeaver MX 6.0 btw..

Ok, let me ask you this. Do you think 'style' is something that can really make a night and day difference? In terms of both grapphics and text, I mean. I'm willing to do as major of an overhall as necessary I just want to have a feal for weather or not it's worth it.

If your not getting anyone to bite and join what will it hurt to make any improvements suggested.I don't know Dynamix but I have visited his site TGPfactory and I think if you take advise from anyone he would be your best bet.

I will agree the design is somewhat retro.Check out other paysites and get ideas.Heres one in your niche Latina Girl Girl.Do a search and see what the high ranking sites do.If all else fails get someone to design a site for you.Get to know people,network you may be able to get work for reduced prices.Get on this board I'm sure theres a ton of people that are more than happy to help.

All I do know is you made a great point.Your doing what you love and that is what counts.

I get your point. That's all more or less what I'm in the process of doing now. I just know it's real easy to put a lot of money in a particular direction and get nowhere. I just want to make sure I'm going in a direction that counts for something otherwise I may as well just try something completely different like maybe a different theme or something. I know about 'Latina Girl Girl' I think they're even newer than my site(a more experienced company though). No way I know of really knowing how well they're doing. Getting somone to redesign my site is probably my next move though. Personally, I prefer the exaggerated bevel look but then I'm not trying to sell bevels. I can do my own art for myself and be just as happy. Thanks for the input.

Imho you should start redesigning your whole page. It really looks like a standart FrontPage-Template made in the early years of public networks.

I always learned to never use fonts that come from the middle ages, cause they're difficult to read!

Well, I've managed to implement some initial changes though not a complete redesign yet. Let me know what you think.
