Most don't do anything because of the Cost/Benefit calculation. It will take so many man-hours to track, report and take legal action on every incident. Not every program can afford to allocate that amount of time. You know yourself how hard it is to find good people to work for you. Can you spare 15-20 man-hours a week and allocate them to this problem?

The easiest and most effective way of fighting this problem is cutting the income off to the sites. People dealing with those sites should be excluded from the business. And I mean hosts as well.

People like ISPrime have several of the very large forums distributing copyrighted content, and they do nothing about it.

I approached them once, and they told me to bring prove of copyright violations, and they would delete the specific post. That mean I should get the legal papers to every single post on a forum with 100.000+ posts.
To me that kind of reply is the same as "screw you, we are getting payed"
