I've been on this board for a while and have chatted with and met several members...couple of them are about as intelligent as a 4 year old retarded ape and that's being rough on the ape.

Also, they lack talent, personality, capital, ambition, etc. - pretty much what makes most other people successful. However, they are "ballers" and "big dogs" on this board because they go to shows. I find that incredibly fucking stupid.

Great guy, great product, great talent, intelligent but doesn't go to shows = A Noob

Dumbass, Illiterate, non-talent having retarded fucktard that goes to shows = A stand up guy and class act

I love it!

P.S. I've been to shows but I'm still not cool.

I had to read "bewbies" 3 or 4 times before I figured out WTF that meant. . . . . but a very interesting observation.

As I type this, I can't help but wonder if it is only because you are gay that you had this observation. I have only heard compliments about his sig, and I believe he removed it once and people wanted it back (correct me if I am wrong Rob) I think the chewing on the phallic symbol is what bothers you.

You want to know the REAL reason why I think his sig hurts him on this board? It's because it's obviously an "ethnic" man in the pic, with a bland look on his face, munching away on veggies.

If I've learned one thing about GFY, or better yet, if I've learned one thing about this INDUSTRY it's that there are an awful lot of bigots in it. Or at the very least, ACTING like a bigot is perceived as cool.

From a marketing perspective, we decided early on that if we were going to do promotion for a gay program on the boards, we'd have to play the role of "stereotypical faggots".

The ha-ha will and grace stuff plays well on here, acting like serious business professionals (that happen to be gay), working in the gay market place, would not. We'd then be "a bunch of fucking faggots" instead of "those funny gays".

I think the same holds true for other minorities, or people perceived as a minority, as well.

I'm Asian. The guy in my sig is Asian. I'm not a bigot and have never even been perceived as a bigot.

And yes, Baddog. I removed my sig and people went nuts. I had to bring him back. He's been my sig since I started posting here.

If someone doesn't want to do business with me because I have an Asian guy eating a veggie in my sig then I'd probably not want to do business with that person in the first place.

I've never been to a show in my life and i've been working in this business for longer than this boards been around. I've never had any interest or reason too. I dont really care what people consider to be the "ballers" and "big dogs", it doesn't concern me.

If they enjoy industry events, then that's awsome. But hopefully most people our age gave up on the whole popularity contest back in highschool.

So, just so we (I) are clear - it is your contention that people would rather do biz with a zany gay guy, than a businessman that happened to be gay?
