there is no time to sit and ask if the guy is mentally ill, these air marhsalls are trained to SHOOT AND KILL, not to shoot, wound, then ask questions.

people are making it sound like the air marshall came to work that day hoping to shoot some wiley arab or something.

but that is not that case at all, we do not live in a peaceful world, and sure it is sad what happened, but putting blame on the air marshal for his actions are completely ridiculous.

there is always a heightened level of stress of everyone flying now after 911, nothing has happened since then, but everyone knows there is a proper and unproper way to behave on a plane, and if someone is acting out of turn and can possibly put others at risk it is the air marhsalls job to cease that risk. not to interrogate.

again it is sad, but it happened.

UMMM the people on the plane were traumatized by officials holding shotguns to their head and have said the guy shouldnt have been shot.

Sure it's serious, but it was one crazy random incident.. I was upset that the cable news spent basically a half a day on it with NO real new information.. seems ridiculous.

With the way he was acting and reaching, that is just cause for the action that was taken...don't fuck around on a plane and all will be good. Sucks that he was unbalanced but hey, if I was in the feds position on this and someone was not stopping, then all is fair. I hate seeing someone lose their life that is innocent but they should of told the airline that he might have issues.

I'm not sure if the airlines require you to report if you are mentally handicapped or not (when purchasing a ticket) but maybe they should and make special precautions. Anyone can freak out even if they are taking their meds.


This is a sad thing that happened and I am sure that the marshal had no other choice,
