with friendfinder i can have $1 per mail profile or a % revshare of each signup. since there is the option between the two, when would the former be more avantagous than the later?

Now to answer your question:

$1 flat is advantageous when you have crappy freeloader traffic.
If you have quality SE traffic or members are traffic it's better to use revshre of course.

so this $1 no credit card is like other sponsors .50 per confirmed email, but for non-hardcore traffic.
