Im traveling to thailand in january and have read several books i got from the library already.. ive been browsing amazon and none of the reviews on the books listed there when i search for thailand are very positive. If anyone can recommend anything it would be greatly appreciated!!

i think i've been living here too long... the underbelly is showing... just take the skytrain to ekkamai... buy a ticket to pattaya (110 baht, first main window)... get yourself a cheesy hotel & pick up loads of honies for a great time in a beach city (be sure not to confuse the lady boys with women)... its a wonderful place for the first time... i 4get i should save reality for the veterans

The Lonely Planet has a couple of good books on Thailand and Southeast Asia. When you arrive, you'll find travel within the country extremely easy. Tons of travel agents and getting a flight or bus is much MUCH easier than the states.
