We're also honored to have the #1 Mixtape DJ in the world, Clinton Sparks. For those of you who aren't familiar, get familiar. Eminem loves this guy, he did Eminems mixtape for Em's Anger Management Tour and this DJ works with all of the big name artists out today. The Players Ball prides itself for adding super hip talents to the roster, he's hip alright.
Of course we have our own Players Ball resident DJ, DJ Evan. He's been our DJ for years now, always pleasing our audience with his refreshing mix of old school, new school, reggae and hip hop sets. DJ Evan is instrumental during the Big Woody Awards when we salute this industry's finest Players.
And this is a new addition for this line up. Every year we have Digital Underground perform as our opener. They always get our crowd jumpin'. We'll, this time around we weren't gonna do them because Shock G (Humpty Hump) requested that he'd like to just come and kick it this year, so we didn't book them. But since we have his biggest musical influence performing and one of his best friends (George), he's going to perform with P-Funk. Shock has become a good friend over the years, he lives for the Players Ball. So I'm super happy to see him perform with P-Funk. As a fan of both of their music, this will be a night to remember.
Now as for celebs attending, there are serious rumors flying about who's coming. I've heard names like 50 Cent, B Real, Kanye West, Ludacris, Snoop, Warren G and many more might be attending. I'll believe it when I see it, but since I'm hearing this from a few different sources there might be some truth to it. It is the biggest week in Vegas, so you never know who will show up. George Clinton and our DJ Clinton Sparks know everyone in hip hop, so I'm thinking you might see some major celebs that night. Anyone remember seeing DMC at the last Ball? He was cool, I hope he comes back again.
