area 51 is basically deserted now. its public knowledge, everyone knows about the place so govt has moved everything out of there. its just an empty installation with a skeleton crew for mainenance now.

Its not worth your time. There is nothing there but a fence with a sign on it telling you the guards are authorized to use deadly force and photography is not allowed. And at night, the little gas station/gift shop will be closed.
