Nothing wrong with celebrating, but the gunfire thing is a bit much. Like it or not they're living in a warzone and you're just asking for trouble shooting a gun around there...

True, need to avoid that.
But it's not like 60 people will not get killed in the next 2 days anyway.

It might have been worth a longshot risk that a happy celebration might bring all sides together and lead to a truce.

Kind of like how the LA riot actually saved lives for years to come by prompting a truce between the Crips and Bloods. Meaning, what looks bad might turn out good.
