Why can't I order an Xbox 360 from Target or Walmart?

    Why can't I order an Xbox 360 from Target or Walmart?

    They sell the games, the accessories... and everything. But they don't give the option to get on the list for the backorder Xbox 360. Where is the logic in that?

    Shouldn't these guys be taking orders like mad for these things?

    I mean, I can order a backordered Canon camera... but I can't do the same for an Xbox. Lame. Fucking lame.

    Anyone know their reasoning?

      cause they dont know when they are going to get more and they dont want to take your money and sit on it for the next 3 months and have you charge back the charge on your credit card.

              maybe because the Xbox 360 has been recalled by Microsoft - crashing issues, some kind of power supply problem

                  Hmmm, put the guy on a list, and don't see him again until the game comes in, or.... make guy keep coming back to store to see if one is available, while at store checking guy sees other things he wants and buys them...
