I'm afraid a lot of the world is well ahead of us in this regard, though, and will continue to be for a while longer.

Think about all the folks who regard Hilary as a total bitch. There are a lot of people who vehemently hate the woman, and I don't necessarily think all that hatred comes from the analysis and rejection of her stances on policy and policy making. Frankly, I think a lot of the hatred out there is baseless and due solely to the fact that she is a woman.

But you're right. Anything could happen. And I do hope I'm being unnecessarily pessimistic.
