If the guy isn't mature enough to handle an older woman, even a few years older, then it won't work out.
If you don't 'get it' on a lot of levels and though one thing may be good together... it's not everything in a lifelong partner.
I learned that from experience.
One bit of advice... usually older women ( or men ) in a relationship have more responsibilities, possible investments, kids, extenuating circumstances, etc. Just be prepared to take on life on the level in which they are living it. If you can't, then save yourself some time and wait a few years.
