some of my .nets rank higher then the actual site

If the sponsors trade marked the name then they can actually take it from you. But given the fact the most people in this industry are too lazy to do that, you are probably in the clear for the next 100 years.

BUTTTTT, just don't be surprise if they come knocking one day.
If they ask you to sell, you should have a decent price in mind and sell it.
Decent price meaning less than lawyers and their time.
