Why wasn't Ron Paul on the YouTube debates?

Canadian here.. Is there some kind of logical reason, or they're just clearly ignoring the man? I'm sure most of us wanted to see him more than most all of the other candidates?

    Those were the Democratic candidates.

He's a Republican. The Republican debate will be in August.

Kucinich is probably the farthest from the Republicans of any of the candidates.

The candidates who receive each party's nomination will debate next year.

The only 100% guarantee in all candidates of whatever party is they will be saying what the public wants them to say - talk is cheap. Reality is a totally different story

You need to get a life instead of trying to post witty responses about a topic people seem interested in.

                    now Go Fuck Yourself!!

I happen to be interested in international politics, and I've never seen a candidate inspire so many people like Ron Paul does. Many people around the world seem to feel the same way.

I was thinking the same thing while watching. My question would be -

Why do you agree with public opinion and the media 100% in these debates, yet always disagree when you're elected?

Once people start stepping out of the race you will be seeing a lot more backing from both parties for Ron Paul. He is the only person with reason that is running.

It's the same the world over

If you look at the background of potential leaders, there has got to be an element of seeking "power" (tho may be other motives as well). People will say anything to get what they want - especially if they are motivated.

In the US scenario, this is probably a very crucial time when it needs a "clean" person with a lot of energy to implement a damage limitation and recovery exercise. Whoever it is, "should" not have time to waste on political crap when there are bigger issues with "wars" and a depreciation economic situation etc. That, as well as ongoing govt biz, is going to be a major challenge for any individual.
