how many sales per day??

How big is the adult internet in terms of:

1. sales per day
2. actual participants who send sales -- how many people run sites, send sales to sponsors, or do anything traffic related?

There are tons of other services, hosting, content, etc. but I am just wondering how big the actual pie is.

What do you guys think?

I guess the question is a little broad. Here is a better one, how many programs/sites make more than 1000 sales per day? which ones? how many make more than 100 per day?

Just interesting to figure out how the traffic is distributed and who has what % of market share

1 faffillon sales.... there is no way to even estimate, dude.. sales stats are private... the only people that could give you a rough number are ccbill and paycom

obviously sales are private.. but you can sort of get an aggregate idea based on basic stuff, like the sequential number of epoch member ID's.. look to see how many #'s the member ID increases between two Epoch sales and figure out the time frame to get an idea, etc.

I was just curious what people thought if they had to speculate

i doubt anyone will give you any 'real' data here. Mostly because A: a large % are not _IN_ the adult industry, B: those who are, aren't going to tell you because it will make look either good or bad, and C: no one knows who you are.

Divide the 10 billion a year industry by 365. Then spread it accurately over the average percent of commission rate per sponsor (Taking for granted the sponsor has paid for all production expenses, plus his profit margin, onto the last link of the chain : the seller/webmaster). Nowhere near the truth, but if youre looking for a rough idea.

It would be impossible to gauge as there are way too many crossovers to things like hotels that have internet sales based on porn on their pay per hour type stuff for the installed inet connections etc. If youre just talking affiliate sales/crosssales you wont get an answer as no program is stupid enough to publish their real numbers
