Anybody know if I can use an LCD screen instead of a TV with the xbox 360?

Yes. You'll have to buy the right kind of cord to go from the xbox to your monitor though.

As long as it's an HD capable monitor, yes

You'd need a pair of these, I use it to hook into the PC port on the back of my 40-inch LCD tv -

If you're looking for the DVI or HDMI to get a higher resolution, they're not gonna release that until later on, it's explained in the review below -

The Vga and the component Gives you the SAME exact resolution neither is better than the other. Read up on it people. They both are analog signals. However DVI and HDMI are digital signals which gives you a higher resolution. So on that note we must wait until Mircosoft allows us to have this feature which they say is not necessary now. They better get up on it when the PS3 hits though because Sony will come out swinging hard. Lesson 101

On a high end LCD, the DAC's are so good now, it's literally impossible to see the difference from VGA to DVI if your monitor is perfectly calibrated. I just bought a 20" Samsung 204T and did a test on both inputs and there was absolutely no visible difference in either resolution or color fidelity. Text was perfectly sharp in both modes and colors were identically precise saturation and tone.
