In addition to what has been said about countries etc., *some places that sell 404 traffic are selling bullshit img src traffic as well.

Buy 404s only pays for actual surfers, and pays for uniques not raws.

It is an imperfect world, and these, coupled with the magical shit happens factor will result in you breaking even at best but more than likely losing a little.
