thanks guys...im going after my wedding photographer
he didnt stay the 6 hours we paid for..and missed our reception...my wife doesnt speak perfect english so they are sayign she opted to not have about 1/2 of what we paid them for done.

Sorry to hear about your problems, There is a $50 filing fee, and all of it can be done by yourself, look it up in the gov pages in your phone book , you dont need a lawyer for this.

You probably won't even make it to court. You'll go to a pre-trial meeting with you, the photog and a judge. If the case is clear cut (and it sounds like yours is), the judge will *strongly* recommend to the photog that he pay your damages. Good info - that's pretty much the way it works. Years ago we went after a contractor who'd sub-contracted some work to us. After we finished the job, he claimed he was never paid by the customer - so in turn couldn't pay us. We were out a few grand in materials and labour, and filed against the contractor in small claims.
