Maybe they got shut down because of fraud issues, I signed up as a surfer and wound up with a free trial recurring into a $39.95 charge for some bondage site. (of course I canceled before being charged) Never did get so much as one pic on my phone, BTW. And to boot I signed up under my own affiliate link and the sale never showed up, odd.

A couple more thoughts:

1. Why are people signing exclusive mobile web deals? What I mean, is if a mobile aggregator can get you on the deck of some BIG carriers (wink, wink), this may make sense, but signing a 6 month or 1 year deal that ties up your content to distribute to a fast growing new environment via a secondary vehicle i.e., PC to the phone, is just odd. It's similar to signing a deal with thehun to distribute your galleries exclusively and not having the right to post them anywhere else.

2. Are people testing these solutions out as a surfer, or just going thru the much manicured demos that are put forth? I tried a few mobile solutions and was severely disappointed as well as ripped off. However, there are good solutions out there, besides our upcoming solution some companies such as Xobile have a very nice products, make sure your phone is video capable before testing them, but they do have a nice solution.

So bottom line, do your homework and think it through before tying up your content in an untested market.
