Damn, my head hurts still.
First of all, congrats to XBiz for a great show. Huge thanks to the XBiz team for taking extra good care of our Rock The Ball crew. They made sure all attendees got a pass to the party, that's always instrumental in maximizing the turn out.
Before I thank the sponsors, I'll give you my review of the evening.
The night started off with a nice vibe, cool rock tunes playing, good time for networking and having a few drinks. Then around midnight, we had our first rock band take the stage, Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles. For those that don't know, their lead singer/guitarist is XXXJay, one of our own. I knew they were special when I head Howard Stern say that was his favorite band. Jay brought the band back together after not playing for a while, flew out to Altanta to tighten up. They totally rocked. They had 4 beautiful bodies in Go Go dancer outfits, all wearing ski masks. Great addition to their stage presence, well done. Their music was fuckin' hilarious, Jay was funny on the mic, they played some serious hard rock. That set the attitude for the night, rock and roll.
Around 1:00 am we had the VCXcash Bikini Competition. We had about 9 contestants, all pretty hot, nice bodies, crowd was lovin' them. So I went backstage and grabbed Metal Skool to come out and help me decide the winners. Is it bad I don't remember any of their names? Anyway, the winner won $2,000 cash, then $1,000 to second place and $500 to third place. Good times. My voice went out on me so KBizzle helped on the mic, which is a good thing because he was the best strip club DJ back in the day.
And then....
Our first celebrity sightening at a Rock The Ball event, Mr. Belding from the TV show "Saved By The Bell".
We brought him on stage with Metal Skool, the crowd ate it up. I think he was kind of pissed he got busted at a porn party and had cameras filming. I'll have the footage tomorrow, shot in HD.
At this point we had a nice full room, we clocked around 400 people through the door, an amazing turn out of webmasters. Metal Skool took the stage and absolutely BLEW EVERYONE AWAY! They sounded better then the original artists, they even did their same moves on stage. Best cover band of all time. They were funny, they interacted with our crowd and we always had beautiful rock chicks on the stage with them, lots of titties flying around the place. To the right of the venue you see girls standing on the back of the booths flashing tits, Go Go dancers lookin' hot all over the place (thanks CECASH). The best part was seeing the entire venue singing along with fists in the air, we totally rocked the ball.
After Metal Skool we had YT Cracker and DJ Airek spinnin', holding a very nice crowd for a while, I left around 3:30 and things were still jumpin'. So thanks guys, much appreciated. Airek, extra thanks for making our sponsors eye candy we played on the screens. It looked great on those big screens all night.
J$tyle$, King Adam - You guys had my back all night, good lookin' out.
I need to explain the VIP thing. We issued Players Cards this time around, these cards are each good for at least 3 years, 3 VIP's per event. However, we closed the upstairs to this place because it was only 400, if we would have opened up the VIP upstairs, then the venue would have looked completely empty and the fun intimate vibe would have been lost. So I issued VIP to the Players Card holders when they got to the venue, thinking that IF we needed more space we would have a VIP area and those people would be ready for their extra perk .I think it worked out for the best, everyone was VIP for this night. The sponsors all had nice tables and all of our Players Card contributing members had nice tables reserved. Anyway, I'm sure people were wondering, where the fuck is the VIP area? In this case, it wasn't necessary so I made the call based on the attendance.
KBizzle, as always, you rocked the mic as my co-host. You were instrumental in helping me decide on Metal Skool and most of the tunes we played early on you selected, excellent choices.
The Gnomes (Kim), you're the guy most people don't know in our biz, but you always hook up the technical things for me, like the future Players Card system, scripts for registering with codes for sponsors and designing the pass (also thanks to Munki for the logo).
I'd also like to thank all of those people who always gave me shit about, "why don't you do a rock show". Now that we have a rock show, we'll be doing it for years to come, so go fuck yourselves.
XXXJay - You stepped up, thanks for that performance, can't wait to see the footage. Looked like you guys had a blast too.
Now, the sponsors.
Pussycash, your support is always huge for us, without you guys, there's no way we could have pulled this off. Thanks for being the big contributor of this show. Always a pleasure working with you guys. Thanks for making our industry a ton a money, your stuff converts extremely well.
OC3networks, you always step it up with our parties, from the Players Ball and now Rock The Ball. I know your hosting rocks, so for those people reading this, don't be afraid to set up another box in their network. Tell them D$ sent you, they'll give you the D$ discount. And thanks for also taking a sponsorship for the Internext Players Ball in a few weeks.
VCXcash, it's hard to believe you just opened your affiliate program the day of the party, you guys were seen everywhere at the XBiz show. You're top notch, you provided some hot bikini contestants and shelled out the dough. Webmasters love program owners that provide beautiful women to our events. I'm looking forward to doing lot's more with you guys in the future. Thanks for coming through.
KBeechContent, my favorite client. Thanks for your support and thanks for providing me with super hot content, for those that don't know, KBeechContent has thousands of movie titles available for licensing.
RealityCash, another long time supporter of our events, thanks again.
Webair, great seeing you guys at the Ball, your support is always appreciated. My box with you guys is always up and very fast, thanks for the great service too.
ShanesWorld, thanks for your contributions, your content also rocks.
D-MoneyShow, I can't thank myself, that's cheezy. But I can say that we're re-releasing the D-Money Show very soon. The footage from Rock The Ball will be on d-moneyshow.com as soon as it's ready. Look for a new design and a new format coming any day.
And my final thanks goes to everyone who showed up to rock with us. I'm very happy things went well. The real behind the scenes stuff gets pretty intense, it might look easy, but I can assure you, it's never easy. Since I pretty much wrote a book already, I'll just say this. I had to hire 7 different sound companies to take this event. The first 6 companies wouldn't do it because they had issues with the venue. So as of the morning of the show, we still didn't have 100% confirmation on the sound and equipment. The company we had hired got cold feet and backed out the day before. Nothing to do with us, I guess the venue owed some local companies money.
Look out, a new era of parties for webmasters, Rock The Ball. One day you'll see your favorite artist at a webmaster show.
It's late, I hope I didn' forget any other special thanks. I'd love to hear some feedback from those that were there.
