My point is that Christian "extremists" (such as Nazi's, the Inquisition, the Crusaders, etc.) read the same book that you're probably a bit more educated on as what's generally accepted as being a book of peace. Your "terrorists" are the same kind of individual... cherry-picking verses to assert that what they're doing is correct and righteous.
The analogy is apt.
I'm arguing against your point that "moderate Muslims are not real Muslims" - as it's a profoundly ignorant assertion, imho... of the same ilk that one might expect from any supremacist or extremist group.
If you haven't bothered to actually familiarize yourself with the writings in the Koran, or had a real conversation with even a few Muslims, how can you consider yourself to be in a position to say what's what in regards to the way of life?
Moreso, how irresponsible might you be to consider that you're in a place to educate others on it?
The Koran is a book of Peace, not war. A lot of the verses that the militant zealots use to support what they do are verses contained in the Koran that talk about the struggle of fighting one's inner fires. I know several Muslims in my community, and I don't feel it's too far a reach to say that they're some of the most peaceful and pacifistic people I know.
Please stop spreading ignorance as fact.
