1. Contact sponsers that you'd like to meet with beforehand to setup meetings.

2. Visit a variety of parties and meet as many people as possible. Also bring a pen to write on the back of each card some things that remonds you of the person you just met. (ie. glasses, by the bar at the players ball, funny moustache)

3. Although there is a lot of free alcohol, avoid getting 100% trashed. Not only will you make an ass of yourself, but 1 hangover can kill the whole experience.

4. Hit the convention ASAP on day 1. This will have the sponsers at their peak and there will be a lot of people on the floor to mingle with.

5. Have fun!

How much capital do you have to invest?

Are you the photographer, or do you need one or more?

Do you have a ton of traffic, or do you need to speak with people about generating traffic for you?

The majority of your time should be spent finding and talking to the people that you're going to need to help get your project both off the ground, and eventually making money.

Even if you don't find the perfect people for what you need, the more people you meet, the more people you'll have in your network of associates that can help you find the people that you're going to need either immediately, or down the line somewhere.

Have a pretty good idea of your project before you go. You don't need a FULL business plan, but if a sponsor asks what you need, then you should have a basic idea. It's a bit of a non-starter to walk up to someone and say, "Hey, I wanna start a website."
