    This from cnn on Millen:

    Millen hired both Mariucci and his predecessor, Marty Mornhinweg, and drafted or signed most of the players currently on the Lions -- and Detroit is an NFL-worst 20-55 since 2001. Millen, a former NFL linebacker and TV analyst was given a five-year extension before this season.

              While I agree because Millen is a joke, but I'm alll for the firing:

              Now that he is free, and since The Packers, (my team by the way), will be in need of a coach themselves after this season, Mariucci would be more than welcome here. There is history with the team, Mariucci and Sherman were both assitants under Holmgren; Mariucci was Favre's QB coach, etc.

              Should be interesting rest of the season / off season for sure.

                      I hate Millen with a passion, it is all his fault period. I feel bad for Steve. The Lions on paper are a way better team than the record but they lack scrapiness, thats why Steve and Jeff Garcia plugged in well. Shame but hey if Lions can throw the rest of the season(and probably will lose most of those games anyways) they can get another decent pick and really stack up.

                          Millen is the reason to blame for the Lions poor showing, his Draft Day strategies are terrible and his choices are even worse. Maybe they will go after some need instead of another Wide Receiver with their First Rounder. Any ideas on a replacement? Who will walk into that mess? Mariucci is a class act and a good football coach, maybe a better co-ordinator than a Head Coach but regardless he will land on his feet again! I am thinking he will go into the booth or as an analyst somewhere first.
