i was playing PGR last night on xlive and a guy asked me if my disc is starting to scratch. apparently a few people ar egetting scratches from normal game play also.. :-/ oh well back to call of duty 2 on live

Yeah, I bought a first generation X-BOX 1 (not the 360 that you bought). My machine had a sub-par DVD reader, and it couldn't play the "2-layer" games that came out after 6 months after the first release. Warranties don't cover "original sprecification flaws" 6 months later, as I was told by their tech support. Jeez... I feel your pain.

Either the DVD reader they included in the box that you bought is flawed, or the power supply is overheating (a more common problem). Place the power supply off of the carpet and into a vented area.. and call MS for a replacement. You're still under warranty.

Yep I've heard the same thing. Heard people take the game back and get a new one and it does the same thing. I'm gonna hold off on a premium system for a while and hope they fix these problems.

If you are talking about taking the whole 360 back to the store and getting another you really can't do that. Stores don't have them just sitting on the shelf. Prolly have to send back to m$ if it keeps having problems.

I finished the regular XBox NFS: MW yesterday, that fucking game is tight, a TON of bugs, but the game's amazing. Hope you get it worked out, it's well worth the time to play.
