I feel like Im the only one who doesnt see the emperors new clothes, its a bigger picture,its widescreen but the quality doesnt look any better than sd,in fact correctly lit sd would look much better than that. Also HDV is not hd.Comment

I remember when DV came out and the DVCAM (Sony). People who shot Beta SP
said DV would never be a "professional format". This was before reality tv became popular and what are they shooting all this hand held footage with? DV!
HDV is reasonably priced and allows more people the opportunity to produce content.
