No... would not say immediately. It's called letting out the rope. This did happen and for a fair lump of money (six figures) and was in the process of fraud issues. But.. these were complicated and delayed by multi-jurisdictional problems and in that time the company liquidated. It was a waste of time and throwing good money after bad to continue chasing the individuals involved. Tho... don't doubt there were more webmasters conned at that time.
