When it comes to doling out the ultimate punishment, something that can't be reversible, emotion should not come into play.
I have never said that if someone harmed my family that I wouldn't personally take care of them myself. But the simple fact is, we are imperfect human beings, capable of making mistakes, which we do all the time.
There are far too many cases that occurred in the past, and occur to this day where the investigators have allowed their emotions to take control and they prosecute the wrong person.
So, the reason I am flat out against the death penalty, is not because I don't think certain people deserve to die, but because I don't believe we have the right to make that choice based upon what could be very limited information compiled by people with a motive.
