I think one thing we can all agree on is that the purishments for young offenders in both Canada and the US need to be toughened up considerably.
The young offenders act in Canada is a JOKE as far as I'm concerned.
Kids can get away with murder simply because they are kids. No way in hell that is right. And yes, in some extreme cases involving premeditated brutal murder where the evidence is clearcut I am in support of ridding the world of the purpetrator permanently.
And to all of you saying arbitrarily that you are flat-out AGAINST the death penalty, God forbid it ever happens to you but something in your attitude will change if some sick punk or a group of punks ever assault, rape and kill your daughter, your wife or your girlfriend etc. When that happens those who were close to the victim almost always prefer to have those who did that to their loved one pay dearly for what they did... as in with their life.
In otherr words it's real easy to spout off about being against it when it hasn't happened to you and affected your life.
