Movie: Matchstick Men ...........

I'm watching the movie Matchstick Man for the 2nd time ... very different when you know the out come .... Am I the only one that loves this movie ... I have had OCD for years ... It's very under control now but the way the film it when he freaks out is very much like the way it feels put into an image ... If you haven't seen it rent it ....

it's on HBO right now ...

What would you say was the OCD behavior that you were bothered by most? I know someone who needs the television volume to always be on an even number. Did you have any extreme OCD needs?

ya .... I only do like 3-4 things now ... I used to do fucked up things like smell my hands every 5 mins ... now i just have to round things up ... eat with the same fork each night .. sleep with just my right sock on .... things like that ...

It made me nuts last time we went out and juicy put $19.40 of gas in the car ... how do you not round it to $20 ... it made my skin crawl all night ...

Yes I need #'s to be even ... I'll post extra to make sure I'm at a 0 or a 5 every time I'm on GFY .. I can't shut down at like 5233 ... have to post till 5235 05 5240 ...

How does it make a nice balance? I would expect your ADD to have your mind constantly jumping from one OCD need to another.

For example, you might just smell your hand every five minutes if you didn't have ADD, but with ADD you might pull your hair, check the lock on the door, wash your hands, peek out the window curtain, check to see if the dial tone is still on your phone, walk on your tile floor avoiding the seems, smell your hand, clean your toothbrush and count to five (for no apparent reason) in a five minute period.

I don't think it really works that way .. maybe have sex every day but not the with different people thing .. most OCD people that I know have a germ phobia also ... I'm not that bad

I do have to have everything on my desk in the same place and squared off ... i do it with Mags in the office also ...always making them straight on the edge of the table ... i even do it to Ray and Tim's desk when I'm standing there talking to them ...lol

I know in 2 sec if someone touched even the smallest thing on my desk or even answered the phone from it ...

I think what made the slower part in the beginning good for me was the OCD thing ... I related in some way so it was interesting how they put that feeling into image ..
