I've seen $5, I've seen $25. I've also seen "NO, you can't have that with your plan".
If you're talking about a static IP on a dsl/cable connection, then, yes, $50 is not out of the ballpark. The idea is with a static IP, you're a business customer. Therefore you pay more. By day I work at an ISP, and now that people have figured out that a DSL line works just as well as a Frame Relay line or T1, static IP is about the only thing left to differentiate with.
FYI, you can get 8192 IPs for $2500 per year. But you have to be using 4000 before they'll give 'em to you ;)
