Well I haven't yet reached the point where I can really brag on the pros as I'm not yet (operative word) to the point where I can quit my regular job and do this full time yet. However one of the biggest things I look forward to is the ability to do my work from whereever I may be, as long as there is a computer connection.
The worst thing (besides the extra hours I put into my sites after long hours at work) is the bitching and complaining from the wife. As I am having to do tis part time, I do tend to put as many hours in as possible to get this thing going. She understands the end result I'm after, but she isn't really into doing with a lot of scarfices as of yet. sometimes i hate this biz but most of the time i love it.
pros:
freedom! its up to me to take the time to work, if i have to i can take off, if i need to pull an all nighter, i can.
basically an unlimited earning potential. once again, if i want to make the big bucks i can work my ass off and ideally do it. not get small salary increases over years
i like not having to worry about how i look or having to deal directly with people. it always seemed i never fit in where i would work, so working by myself seems to work.
not having to commute to work is a big one. i was almost always late and had to speed like a motherfucker to get there at a decent time. working from home saves my car and points on my license.
i can crank my stereo, wear nothing but my boxers (or nothing at all if i see fit) and make more money than the majority of the population.
cons:
no guarenteed income, if sales don't come, no money.
shaving, downtime, joe jobs, etc. just general affiliate/internet bullshit.
worries about bullshit laws and corporate takeover of this biz.
can get boring/lonely working by yourself from home every day for years.

Like others said, maybe the wort part is the social stigma associated with dealing with porn but...
the pros compensate for that... I love the freedom it gives you, but you have to remember the discipline that must come with that. sometimes, freedom=lazyness/cruising arround/boredom, and that's when the money doesn't come in...
I also regret missing the golden years...I was too busy looking for free porn backthen and never noticed that link (webmasters-make money)!
