Jonny, honestly just report him...why wait?
I know you and i talked about this over the phone briefly a few months ago, but i have to say i had NO clue it was this bad....just thought it was a laughing matter to be honest and just a dick messing about.
Clearly its not!
For the potential sake of your family just go to the authorities today or tomorrow, at least you would establish an official record in case anything more serious happens.
