                                                          Im willing to bet a lot of people dont know this. We all know that downloaded shit goes in your ie cache or firefox or whatever but not that many programs will use their own dir for cache and actually let it sit there without a warning. Especially with files this big.

                                                                  This is true. Most of them create tmp directories on your HD and store the shit there. Notice when you view a movie online and then download it the download is almost instant?

                                                                  The best thing to do is run a system search and use a wildcard...i.e...*.tmp (especially if you use Photoshop on a regular basis). I once had a Photoshop .tmp file that was 2.9 gigs.

                                                                          Yeah photoshop makes nice tmp files as well.

                                                                          The best program i can recommend is ccleaner. Its free and gets rid of all tmp files on your hd. Most people will free up 100's of megs using that program. Its impossible to know the locations of all the files yourself.

                                                                                              Then type in *.mov (quicktime file extension). Find the temp directory where the downloads are stored. Delete them.
