My brother is one of those "idiots" taking the lions today. Every week for that matter he does. $50, 100.... every week. Puts on his lions jersey (one of his 10 or so), gets his lions beer mug out, turn on the NFL package find his game, and cheer away. Imagine how pathetic this is. We were born there in good ol' shitbox Detroit.

My brother, the poor son of a bitch he is, EVERY weeks bets on them, nothing huge, but enough to show he CARES.... and every week when HE MOST OFTEN LOSES, he sits back, is never disappointed, and goes

"Its okay guys, you'll get 'em next week"

And God forbid they win, he wants to party all night.

NHL seems to be a lot easier, a lot more "common sense" picks. I also won on the Rangers game today. Not having much luck with NBA games though.

You have to parlay on the single games to make the most money, I do a couple minutes of research on the scoring trends and who is goaltending and then do the Over/under bets.

I bet on Vancouver Vs San Jose and I picked Under 6, which is risky usually but i knew it would not be high scoring so the payout was alot better then just a straight wager on Van.

If I had've been asked to name a lock out of all of this week's games it would have been for the Falcons.

About 10 weeks ago someone posted here that they predicted this years "sleeper team" would be the Lions. My same pick at that time would have been.... you guessed it... the Falcons.

damn.. missed this thread yesterday.. nice night, but those of you that think you will have long term profits from betting SU teams like Vancouver vs San Jose, forget it.. giving any team 80% chance of winning SU in the NHL is just wasting your money..
