    New Orleans Hand Grenade - How to make it right?

    - 1 1/2 oz gin
    - 1 1/2 oz grain alcohol
    - 1 1/2 oz melon liqueur
    - 1 1/2 oz rum
    - 1 1/2 oz vodka

    I just made myself one and going blind in one eye. I think I am missing an ingredient. How can I make it smoother?

          BTW: that's "sugar water" (supersaturated... i.e. - boil the water) in non-mixology-speak.
