A friend of mine is going to LA on vacation and asked me to help him find good nightclubs in LA.

What place is better than GFY to ask that, huh?

So could you guys help me out to find some nice nightclubs in LA?

Dragon fly isn't too bad but barneys, coach and horse, dime, these are some good dive bars to chill at.

I'm not a nightclub-goer, so I don't have any suggestions as far as those go... but I'd definitely check out some of the places thehand recommended - he's usually spot-on with places to see.

Have you been to The Chimney Sweep in Sherman Oaks? I think it'd be right up your alley.

There's also Scotland Yard and Casey's Tavern in Canoga Park... Scotland Yard is a little more on the trendy side, and Casey's is considerably more on the seedy side - both are a good time, depending on how "dive-y" you like your dive bars

most clubs in hollywood use outside promoters so each night can be hit or miss.

Tropicana is a good choice along with Teddy's also in the same building. though you probably won't get into Teddy's.

Les Deux is really good. best nites are wed-sat. friday avoid - again you most likely won't get in...

White Lotus was shut down for a remodel and is now Ritual. too new to say the good nites there.

Sugar across the street is good on Sat nites.

Area is good on fridays and thursday for the celebs (again prob won't get in on thursday unless you get a table).

Winston's is a good bar to chill at. Edison downtown is cool along with the rooftop bar at the Standard.

if you like dance music, Giant at Vanguard is good on Sat nites along with Avalon.
