What are the most important aspects of payment processing to you?

Obviously you would want the company to be solid, not going down with your money but what else?

Do you care about

Details statistics?
Reason for declines?
Time of transaction?
Very low processing rates/fees?
No chargeback costs?

that depends are we talking 3ed party or own merchant account ?

too loose a question to answer really.

It doesn?t really matter. Any type of payment processing. LOL, if I would want to specify this, it would be a 5 page question considering the wide range of transaction types... dialer, cc, ACH? transactions?

Replace "No chargeback costs" with a "Easy to charge customers again without them having to fill out all their details again for non-automatic recurring customers"
I dont mind paying higher chargeback costs if the processing fees is low

Yea, the dependability and availability really would be my first. I would also say that a easy to use GUI (stats and settings) is pretty important.

Considering that chargeback?s are an expensive element (cost to bank, PSP?) having a solution that integrates chargeback fees in the payment processing fees COULD be interesting.

Settings are important yes, stats.. in a way. I like the starts to be easily importable to our own system for better analysis. CCBill allows this..there's actually very little or nothing wrong with ccbill.
People complain about the ratios, but they should realize 2 things

a) CCbill shows 1st page raw most programs which show their 2nd page uniques or so which is 15% or there abouts from 1st page raw

b) It's not the processors fault if a sponsor site sucks.

I have no idea what our cost is per chargeback at this moment since we never had any, and the worst feedback we got so far was someone saying we should reduce the amount of blue color in our capsule when he placed his second order

Yea, when the cost of chargeback?s is integrated in the processing costs it must cover the cost of all chargeback?s, even from others using the account.

Yes, the sponsor sites (in a scenario such as CCBill setup) are probably the most important. I guess, if you only have Russian, Romanian? transactions? it could be a problem.

Security that we are going to get paid would be number 1. Next would be someone who actually gives you a reason for whatever is going on ....based on what I see thats very rare to non existant. Credible processor such as CCBill to be the affiliate stakeholder and stop any accusations re shaving.

I use Safshop and CCbill and both fine....but CCBill far better than Safshop from an affiliate point of view. If own merchant account a merchant account in a first world country.

well it might just be me but i think there will be things that are more important for ACH processing that CC processing etc so just listing things that is important is useless unless you know what type of processing you are taking about!
