                                                Hey I am not saying how bad his business is, or how he handles it, but maybe comming onto a board and asking people to volunteer some work without pay until he is satisfied just lacks some class IMHO.

                                                Each to there own I suppose, I just feel sorry for the folks that fall for that kinda shit. So that makes two reasons why I came in this thread.

                                                1: I like new webmaster's I wish the best for em and when I see some fucken tard come along and ask em for free labor and unspecified payment on completion, it is just not cool.

                                                2: Dig420 is on my unfriendly list attacking me first and as usual denies it, acts all surprised and shit. Typical.

                                                I just giving some love back to em. What I got to say wont stop some poor kid from jumping on the opportunity to find a little something to do however maybe some will think about I said reasonably. If not they deserved to get fried, just do not come whinning to me, all I will say is "I told ya so".

                                                        If I am more than 3 hops to China from LA you will have to find a way to fix that.

                                                            I see your point about requiring 50% upfront. And you're right, it is typical designer procedure anymore. However, this whole argument is based off of a very simple statement made by dig. It had absolutely no details whatsoever. He simply said "I just want somebody to do the job and I'll pay them for the work." Very simple statement. People say it ALL the time. I know I do, and so do many others.

                                                            You're making a big deal out of nothing because of past "bouts" with dig, only you're making yourself look absolutely ridiculous in the process, as usual.

I have been doing it that way for years and have yet to be scammed or scam anyone. So in essence, I say "you build and I'll pay you for it" on a daily basis. Nobody has ever had a problem with that.

                                                                                    I just paid supercharged to do a design for fetishmail.com, xxxhost.com and cuckolds.com. I'm also paying bluedesign to do an alternate design on cuckolds.com for my webmasters because my staff designer who used to run exxxtremedesign.com is busy redoing member areas for the existing sites. I need the guy to do the message boards because my personnel resources are starting to get stretched pretty thin.

Thats just smart policy, maybe you have not been burned enough to make the decision yourself...

The poor kid lived with em, and developed a crystal meth habit. Rather than get em off the shit or stop it from happening Dig kicked em to the curb. The industry practically killed em, and during the course of it, he was under paid and used the whole way.

I haven't been on it for years. No booze either. You think you know all these deep dark secrets on everybody, but you don't know anything that hasn't been posted on a message board somewhere. Who the fuck would ever TELL you anything in the first place?

                                                                                                                                                                        Here's the whole Ryan story: I paid him a weekly salary of 500 or 700.00/wk, gave him a free room, free food and never asked him to do anything except work 8 hrs. a day.

                                                                                                                                                                        The unfortunate thing about people is that when you solve all their problems for them, they will create thier own NEW problems just to keep things interesting. The main thing my little communist experiment taught me is that you can't just 'save' people. People will rise or sink to their own level. But at least I tried.

                                                                                                                                                                        For instance, you. You will always be a third rate designer with a big ego and little to no success. It doesn't really matter what anyone does for you for example Vivid.

He was a friend.

                                                                                                                                                                                            But I will spare his side of the story out of respect for him.

You're aware that your friend lilbitch ended up stealing every computer in the house right? And how did YOU teach him anything? You were there maybe twice for parties and I never saw any classes taking place.

                                                                                                                                                                                                    The mistake I made with that whole episode is allowing leeches and losers like you and your friends on the property. I learned my lesson.
