VERY Fishy pattern from a sponsor

Say you promote sponsor X with a paid spot on a MAJOR tgp...

Said sponsor offers both pps and revshare, you decide to try both since they both have their advantages, and paid spots are not particularly cheap, so you go ahead and mix some pay per signup and revshare galleries...

This sponsor pays $30 per trial when using pps, and like $1.something per trial when using revshare.

The days you have pps galleries up ($30 pps) you have very little to no sales at all.

The days you have revshare galleries up ($1.something), you get at least some sales, always more than pay per signup galleries days.

am i missing somerhing here? pure coincidence?

Without 30 days of each in data I would say it amounts to variance.. If the trend continues with more data, then I would point out which sponsor it is. However with NATS, it is much less likely anything funny is going on.

Weird fluctuations do occur though, and if you are basing it off of 3-4 days of data, it is just a coincidence IMHO

I think you need a lot more data to judge. It definitely may look strange, but trends are so difficult to spot. Some days I'm left looking at my stats, shaking my head and asking myself what the hell happened, haha.

It's all a conspiracy. Change sponsor every other week from now.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

in this biz you have to constantly test other programs to see what converts better. You just have to test and retest. its just part of being a marketer.

For the record, variance doesn't take 30 days to check into.

Is there a difference in the trial price or tour when you go through using each affiliate link? Things to look at would be the landing page for each of the two links to make sure they are exactly the same (no traffic leaks etc), the join price is the same on the join page, and no changes in popup chains, cross-sale promotion etc

Some sponsors will send surfers to a different tour dependant on the type of referral you send them
