Something to try next time you get into a debate with a fanatic:
Ask them if they believe in aliens/ghosts/werewolves, whatever. Most I've ever talked to will deny the possibility.
Then simply tell them, so they can believe in a man performing miracles, a man taking animals on an ark, a man parting a sea by waving a stick, an all-powerful being no one ever sees and so on....but not another type of creature, etc...?
They will have nothing to come back with and you can freely call them hypocrites and tell them they seem to have selective beliefs. That always pissed them off
